Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 23, 2026
SEK Solar LLC (“SEK Solar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) designs, installs, and services solar energy systems for businesses and homes across southeast Kansas. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website (seksolar.com), how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By using our website or submitting a request through it, you agree to this Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or submit information to us.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, call, email, or otherwise contact us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number;
- Your business or organization name (if provided);
- The property or site address for your project (entered with the help of Google address autocomplete);
- Property type and your rough monthly electric bill range;
- Any utility bills, photos, or documents you choose to upload;
- Anything else you tell us about your project or in your messages.
You don’t have to give us this information, but we need at least a way to reach you and a project location to respond usefully.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our analytics providers automatically collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, and the site you came from. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, government IDs, health, or biometric data), and we ask that you not send it to us.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule a no-cost site assessment;
- Prepare proposals, system designs, and pricing;
- Deliver and service the solar systems we install for you;
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website;
- Send you information about your project and, where permitted, occasional marketing about our services (you can opt out anytime — see Section 6);
- Measure how our advertising and website perform;
- Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse; and
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.
- Service providers. We use trusted companies to run our business, who process information on our behalf under their own terms — including HubSpot (our customer-relationship and contact-management system), Google (website analytics and address autocomplete), Meta/Facebook (advertising measurement), and Vercel (website hosting). They may only use the information to provide services to us.
- Professional and project partners. With your direction, we may share project details with subcontractors, engineers, lenders, or utilities involved in your installation.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SEK Solar, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. If SEK Solar is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and measure advertising.
- Google Analytics helps us understand site traffic and usage. You can opt out across all sites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel helps us measure the performance of our Facebook advertising. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook account settings.
- Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of many interest-based ads through the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info).
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; some let you send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or “Do Not Track” signal. Blocking cookies may affect how the site works. Where applicable, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals.
5. Communications and your consent
When you give us your phone number or email through the site, by phone, or in person, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry and project by phone call, text message, and email, using the contact details you provided. Standard message and data rates may apply to texts.
This consent is not a condition of purchasing anything. You can opt out at any time:
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text.
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- All channels: email us at info@seksolar.com or call (620) 431-1122 and ask us to stop.
We may still send you non-marketing messages about an active project or account even if you opt out of marketing.
6. Your choices and rights
- Marketing: opt out anytime as described in Section 5.
- Access, correction, deletion: you may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@seksolar.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity, and we may keep information we’re required to retain by law.
- State privacy rights: depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. SEK Solar serves customers primarily in Kansas and the surrounding region. If you believe a state privacy law gives you rights with respect to your information, contact us at info@seksolar.com and we’ll work with you in good faith.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide and service your system, run our business, and meet legal, tax, and warranty obligations. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold. No website or method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we can’t promise absolute security. Please use care in what you send us, and contact us right away if you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure.
9. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites we don’t control. This Policy doesn’t cover those sites, and we’re not responsible for their privacy practices. Review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
